My name is Lisa Tower, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree and a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma Emphasis. I earned certification in both Mental Health & Nutrition, and I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual. The National Board of Certified Counselors also certified me as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
I'm currently a behavioral health counselor with Recovia in Gilbert and ProjectMe in Mesa, AZ. I work with Recovia as part of an IOP team to help clients manage their pain, increase their mental health, and help them learn to understand their minds and bodies to get them back to functioning optimally. We use a biopsychosocial model centered on neuroplasticity and the NOI pain group. With ProjectMe, I see clients for individual therapy sessions.

When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my husband of over 34 years, my adult children, grandchildren, and friends. I love to travel. I visit New England and Wisconsin as often as possible, and my husband and I enjoy cruising to all parts of the Caribbean and Bahamas. Our bucket list includes Italy, Spain, Greece, Scotland, Poland, the Maldives, Tahiti, and Bora Bora. I enjoy my church and the friends I've made there. I also love baseball, especially The Boston Red Sox.
I specialize in Trauma using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but also use eclectic approaches based on the client's unique, individual needs including DBT, SFT, Mindfulness, Meditation, and others.
